ABOUT MOSQUERART

I create acrylic paintings on canvas primarily for the purpose of self expression. I am detail oriented and so every element of my painting is crafted by me from the building of the stretcher to the final strokes of my paint brush.

Moving to Canada from Medellín (Colombia) has meant learning new languages and cultural practices, but my artistic practice has not required a new vocabulary in this transition.  I have always been interested in transformational concepts and exploring the potential of human consciousness.  There is joy in my process which is amplified when what I am communicating from my own imagination resonates with viewers.  This is true for my work in graphic design as well as in my photography and painting.
